JustFund

JustFund is transforming Australia’s personal legal services market with innovative lending solutions that fundamentally change the experience and outcomes for individuals and family law firms. Our launch offering provides funding to individuals who are going through the complex, stressful and financially challenging process of separation.

About JustFund

We’re a passionate team of lawyers, technologists and finance specialists on a mission to ease the financial burden of separation and empower people to achieve better outcomes.

Separations are challenging events. Financial imbalances between the parties often prevent people from accessing quality lawyers, forcing them to self-represent or settle early for an amount far less than they deserve.

Traditional lenders can’t provide a solution because they focus on income, credit score and employment history.

At JustFund, we’re not your typical lender. Our proprietary credit assessment engine focuses on the individual client, their unique circumstances and their specific legal entitlements to provide a line of credit to pay legal fees. Our solution improves access to justice, outcomes and financial security.

We received the backing of the Startmate Accelerator program before launching and have raised investment from some of Australia’s best founders and operators across the fintech, lending, legal, product and impact space.

In the 12 months since our launch, we’ve received hundreds of applications from clients and already partnered with some of the leading family law firms in Australia. But we’re only scratching the surface of this opportunity and our potential.

Join us at this critical early stage as we build a seamless and life-changing legal finance platform for our clients and law firm partners.

What our clients say

  • 'Connecting with you gave me the financial opportunity to continue down a path that I wasn't able to quit. Trying to pay for lawyers out of my pay cheque in advance of work getting done was not sustainable. Practically or psychologically. I do not say this lightly.....your service was a lifeline.' Jodi, Client
  • 'JustFund has been game-changing for my business. I’ve integrated it into my client onboarding process so all clients now have the option for finance.' Jill, Family Lawyer

About the role

Once we have assessed and approved a case, we go on the journey with our clients and law firm partners to see each case, and support each client, to a successful resolution. The Case Success Manager will be responsible for managing this critical aspect of the client and law firm experience, and will also be involved in assessing clients to determine their eligibility for financial support.

For an organisation that puts clients and law firm partners at the centre of all we do, the role of Case Success Manager is critical. Based in Sydney, this role will report directly to Andy O’Connor, Co-CEO, and work closely with other members of the JustFund credit assessment and client success team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • embracing our culture to deliver an outstanding experience for each and every client and law firm partner;
  • be the amazing, empathetic and ongoing point of contact for approved clients and law firms;
  • assist in the assessment of client applications for funding, liaising with clients and law firms as required to develop a holistic understanding of a prospective client’s needs;
  • develop and implement processes to monitor the status of funded cases;
  • proactively identify and respond to risks that may arise on funded cases;
  • develop and maintain deep relationships with law firm partners to ensure their experience is as positive, responsive and supportive as possible;
  • assess and determine requests from clients and law firms to ensure they have the resources necessary to achieve an equitable settlement;
  • report to the leadership team on the status of funded cases, including any loan risks and expected time to resolution;
  • analyse the outcome of funded cases to improve and refine JustFund’s credit assessment processes;
  • assess and approve requests for payment submitted by law firms; and
  • be willing to help out with the highest impact projects each week because we’re a fast growing fintech and that’s what it’s all about.

    Location

    While we understand that location is important, our company culture is even more important. We have a strong preference for the successful candidate to be present in our Sydney CBD office for a minimum of 3 days per week. We want the right candidate to be a part of the collaborating, brainstorming, serendipity and laughs that occur each and every day. Preference will be given to individuals who can add most positively to, and are aligned with, our culture. Extraordinary remote workers may be assessed by exception.
